Amanda recently joined Aetna’s West Region National Accounts as the Regional Client Solutions Leader. She has over 15 years of healthcare experience.
Prior to Aetna, Amanda managed the Innovation and Consumer Engagement portfolio at Pacific Business Group on Health (PBGH), a coalition of 60 employers who collectively provide self-funded health coverage to over 10 million employees and dependents at an annual cost of $12B. Her roles at PBGH included strategic planning for innovative models of care and payment, managing programs to model a patient-centered medical home for acute populations, analyze the feasibility of large-scale patient-reported outcomes measures for use in performance accountability, and map consumer health behavior online.
Previously, Amanda was senior advisor to the national healthcare practice at Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP, and its policy and business advisory unit, Manatt Health Solutions. Amanda advised clients on health information technology readiness, adoption, and strategies to move health care delivery and policy forward in an interoperable, informative and consumer-centric direction. In that role, Amanda worked with the California Association of Public Hospitals and Health Systems to conduct a multi-hospital gap assessment for meaningful use of health information technology; analyze results, and provide strategy and tactics to achieve federal and state incentives. At Partners Healthcare in Boston, she managed a system-wide quality portfolio, with responsibility for performance in the National Hospital Quality Measures, nursing-sensitive quality, diabetes management, tobacco cessation, and stroke care.
Amanda has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Columbia University and a Masters in Public Administration, Healthcare Policy and Management from New York University.
