Michelle is currently an Executive-in-Residence at InterWest Partners, focusing on the intersection of healthcare and technology. She is particularly passionate about the transformative role mobile, social, data, and consumers are beginning to play in the healthcare industry. She serves as a mentor to several of the most prominent accelerator programs and is an adviser to leading early stage digital health companies.
Prior to InterWest Partners, Michelle was one of the early employees at Epocrates and helped to build the company into one of the leading mobile health care information technology companies. During her tenure from launch to IPO, Michelle drove growth of the user network to more than 40% of U.S. physicians and developed one of the most successful freemium models in the industry.
Prior to Epocrates, Michelle worked as a health strategy consultant with The Wilkerson Group, working with a range of clients including venture firms, pharmaceutical companies, and early stage companies. In addition, she has been involved in both health policy formation and implementation at the national level through her work at The Lewin Group and the Georgetown Center for Health Policy Studies.
Michelle earned her M.B.A. at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and her B.A. from Carleton College.
